Sat, 31-Jul-2010 10:00 am (1:00 hr)	Saturday Science Workshop  [ Tell a Friend ] "Ice Balloons - Cool Science for a Hot Day" - Explore a frozen water balloon to learn how to ask questions and use everyday objects to do experiments to answer those questions; for children ages 6-10 and their families.
Sat, 31-Jul-2010 10:00 am (5:00 hrs)	Bike Planet Trek Dane County with the experts!  [ Tell a Friend ] Join us as we bike our scale model of the solar system. We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Sun marker on the bike path next to Monona Terrace. Dr. Jim Lattis will lead the ride as we bike to the Hometown Junction shelter (where Main St. crosses the Military Ridge Trail) in Verona. At 11:30 experts in the areas of wildlife and geology of the Military Ridge Trail will present a short program at the shelter and the ride will continue on to Pluto located in Mt. Horeb. You are welcome to join us for the entire ride, the program in Verona, or any part of the trail. No reservations are needed and information on canceling the event due to weather will be available by calling 262-4779 that morning.
