Salvation Army Development Proposal Meeting - Tuesday, August 30
There will be a neighborhood meeting where we will hear about the Salvation Armyís development proposal for 630 E. Washington Ave. The building they are currently using at that site would be demolished, and a six-story (6) building would be constructed. The intent is to continue the current services which are being provided at this site including an overnight shelter for single women and families, medical and dental services, and offices. They will also be applying for WHEDA tax credits to help construct 66 units of affordable & market rate housing. Approximately 150 parking spaces are proposed.

Bodega at Breese Stevens - Thursday, September 29
Breese Stevens Field is hosting The Bodega, a free outdoor market, Thursday, September 29 from 4:00-8:00.

The Bodega will feature farmers, artisans, antique dealers, and craftsmen selling locally sourced goods and produce. Far from an average farmers market, The Bodega will also feature food carts, live music, and kidís games to ensure a family-friendly event for all. A vinyl record swap is scheduled and attendees are encouraged to bring their own vinyl to participate. A wide variety of local beers, and wine will also be available for purchase. The kidís area will feature a 60í long inflatable zip line for the enjoyment of kids of all ages.
