Tour des Coops - Saturday, June 21
The summer is coming, and with it, the famously exciting and hotly anticipated tour of backyard chicken coops! Are you interested in having chickens or building a coop? Are you confused about why anyone would want backyard chickens? Do you have chickens? Do you want to share them with your neighbors and chicken-curious citizens on a summer afternoon in June? Plan to do the tour, and if you have chickens, consider participating as a tour stop. We plan to hold the tour Saturday, June 21 from 1-4 pm.

Mark your calendars! This tour will be the Saturday before the Sunday art walk, and is a fun way to tour the neighborhood, meet new friends, and learn about urban chicken farming. Don't forget that a blossoming friendship with a chicken farmer can yield not only laughs and camaraderie, but the occasional half dozen of fresh eggs too.

And to the chicken farmers among you, it really is a relaxing way to share a curious interest (urban chickens) AND to meet your neighbors (all good people). Plus, you just have to hang out in your backyard in the sunshine with your chickens and answer a few questions. it's easy. and fun.

More details regarding the tour will be provided here the week before the tour.
